The Myanmar Ethnics Organization (MEO), in collaboration with North South Initiative and representatives from Bangladesh and Pakistan, was privileged to participate in a substantive roundtable discussion with the Australian High Commission in Malaysia on Monday, 28 April 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.

The dialogue provided an invaluable platform to examine the current conditions faced by migrant and refugee communities in Malaysia, addressing systemic barriers and existing policy frameworks. The session aimed to foster deeper regional understanding and collaboration in support of more equitable and sustainable migration policies.

MEO is grateful for the opportunity to contribute insights from grassroots realities and to advocate for inclusive, rights-based approaches to the treatment and protection of all migrant and refugee populations.
